Much can be said about the impact that Bill Linhart had on sports officiating in Kansas in both the high school and college arenas. As many of you are aware, Bill passed away on Thursday morning, March 7 after a year long battle with cancer. Bill was a founding member of Officials Against Cancer, the president of our organization from day one, the driving force behind many of our initiatives, and a long time friend of both Perry Sharp and Meredith Grusing for whom this memorial was originally founded. We will miss Bill every day, but know that he is in a better place, eating popcorn before the game and calling fouls on that big court up in the sky.
